To commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, DuSable Museum and the First Division Museum at Cantigny Park presents A Sight Unlike Any Other: The Civil War and the Colored Soldier. This daylong family event is highlighted by two battle reenactments celebrating the African American Soldiers who bravely fought for the freedom of their families and themselves. The day also includes horse rides for children, a performance with Honest Abe and Frederick Douglass, museum gallery tours, food, a Civil War dress up booth and more!
