An Enchanting Evening with Mozart and Bartók

an enchanting evening with mozart and bartók

The Rembrandt Chamber Players season will kick off by pairing a brand-new work with chamber favorites. Grammy Award-winning artist Howard Levy will premiere his commissioned Sonata for Oboe and Piano, a kaleidoscope of jazz, abstract blues, and Brazilian rhythms and melodies. Mozart’s effervescent Quartet for Flute and Strings will follow, as well as Bartók’s intricate and intense Romanian Dances, which was influenced by melodies played by gypsy violinists in Transylvania. Vaughan Williams’ Quintet closes the night with lush, romantic strings and piano.
