From March 23, 2013 – September 8, 2013
This special exhibit explores Chicago as a hub for the transportation of food and how the environmental choices we made more than a century ago continue to have consequences to this day. And the choices we make today will have consequences more than a century from now. Guests of all ages will become fascinated by this highly interactive journey that begins with an immersion into Illinois’ vast, native Prairie that once dominated the state, with stops at the Union Stockyard Gates and present-day Chicago.
